What is WorshipArts?

WorshipArts is an experience for students where they gain knowledge and familiarity with ministry.

How will WorshipArts help you grow?

A major focus of the program is to give students the knowledge and experience necessary to participate in any worship, drama, or photography team as an effective, valuable part. Also the program provides the students with a healthy scriptural idea of what worship truly is: the act of giving glory to God in everything we do, whether it be our praise, our schoolwork, or our attitudes and intentions. WorshipArts is committed to equipping students for effectual leadership.

What does WorshipArts look like?

We spend 3-4 month seasons preparing for worship nights at the end of the season, where the students perform dramas and lead worship for the community. We meet and rehearse in church buildings in Kalamazoo and Paw Paw. During our regular week the students receive personal and group instruction from the directors, and from guest speakers most of whom are pastors and worship leaders in the community.

Where is WorshipArts going?

The mission of WorshipArts is to train students in Junior High and High School to fill the needs of the local church. We will pursue any options that will fit that goal. We have expanded to Worship Teams, Drama Groups, Photography, and Video Production, but we don't want to stop there. We want to teach students dance, graphic design, devotional writing, creative writing, and anything else that can youth can worship God through. We're furthering the Kingdom of God by training students new ways to get plugged into the body of Christ.
